Who can use this feature

Roles: Owner and Admin

Plans: Advanced (if you have 5 or more entities on Advanced)

Activity logs help you track the activity of users within your organization while they use Syft. To access this feature, navigate to the settings menu at the top left of the screen using the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon.

This will open up a dialogue box with your settings. From there, you will find Activity logs in the Oversight section on the left-hand side of the dialogue box.

Once you've selected Activity logs, you will be able to see all your connected users, whether they have implemented 2FA and when they were last seen. To get into more detailed information, click on "See activity."

Then, you will be able to see the details of this user's activity, from the number of user sessions they've completed to the number of page views and report downloads. You can toggle between the following views:

  • Downloads: which shows the reports they have downloaded, what they included, when they were downloaded, and how many times the report was downloaded

  • Page Tracking: which shows the pages they have visited, the last date they were visited, and how many times they've visited this page

  • Entity Access: which shows which entities they have access to, the underlying provider of each entity, and the last date they accessed each entity

To drill down on the information, click on the arrow next to the entity name.

While the default view for activity logs is the past 90 days, you can also zoom in to focus on more recent time periods, such as the last 60 or 30 days.

This feature is beneficial in helping you to see where your staff or team are spending their time on Syft, which reports they are generating, what features they find most beneficial, as well as which entities they have access to. In this way, you can monitor their work on Syft and ensure that they only have access to features and entities that suit their role.
