SimplePay is a user-friendly cloud-based payroll software designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Syft and SimplePay
The integration between Syft and SimplePay enables you to bring payroll based information into financial statements. Once your SimplePay data is added to your Syft account it can be used across various features in Syft including reports, visualizations and consolidations.
How to connect SimplePay data to Syft
To connect SimplePay to Syft follow the steps below:
Navigate to the "Connections" tab at the bottom left of your screen.
Within the "Overview" top tab, click "Add connection".
In the pop-up window, click on "Payroll" and select "SimplePay".
You will be redirected to the SimplePay connection setup page where you need to enter your API key. This page also describes the steps you can take to retrieve your API key but these steps are also detailed below.
To retrieve your API key, log into you Simple Pay account and enter your user details.
In the top right corner, click on the Profile icon and then "Manage Users". Only ‘admin’ and ‘owner’ users will have this option.
Click on "Add" under the API Users heading.
Fill in the requested information. You can limit access to specific companies by ticking the box next to "Restrict to selected Companies". If applicable, limit the access to the specific company you are connecting to. Finally, click "Save".
After clicking "Save", the API key should appear at the top of your screen. Copy and paste it into the field on the SimplePay connection setup page on Syft.
Lastly, click "Connect Accounts".
Your SimplePay data is now connected to Syft as connection data and can be used in Syft to take your payroll reporting to the next level.
Additional information
Once your SimplePay data is connected to Syft you can toggle between viewing the data as Monthly or Daily. You can also update the data if any changes have been made in SimplePay by clicking "Update now".
