Syft and Bank feeds

Syft Analytics seamlessly integrates with Bank Feeds and transforms your data into beautiful reports and insights. The Syft Bank Feed integration unlocks various functionality available in Syft's feature set including the Dashboard, Break-Even graph, KPIs & Accounts visualizations, Profitability, Suppliers, Cash, Transaction List and FX rates.

All features can be combined into custom PDF report packs or Live View reports. Syft’s plug-and-play interface requires no training or setup with reporting available as soon as your data has been linked.

How to connect your Bank feed to Syft

To connect your Bank feed entity to Syft, follow the steps below:

  1. Click "Add entity" at the top right of your screen.

  2. You will now be redirected to our add entity setup page where you can click on “America” or "Canada" under the "Bank Feeds" category, depending on your region.

  3. You will then be redirected to the page below where you will be prompted to create the entity before uploading the data.

  4. A dialogue box will open with information about the connection where you can click "Continue".

  5. Enter your phone number and click "Continue". Alternatively, click "Continue as guest".

  6. You will then have the ability to select your bank from a number of options. If you do not see your institution, you can search for it in the search bar.

  7. After selecting your bank, you will be required to log in to your bank. A pop-up window will indicate which boxes should be checked for the specified bank account to ensure all accounts are connected to Syft.

Once you have signed in and selected all of the required boxes, your bank account will be connected and data will pull through to Syft and can be used in reporting, visualization and analysis.

Additional information

Once a bank account has been connected, it may take a few hours for all the data to sync, as Plaid doe not return all of the transactions immediately to Syft.

If the following error message is received, it means that the authentication required by the Financial Institute of the bank account is not compatible with Plaid’s multi-factor options. This means that the bank account cannot be connected to Syft.
