How to create a Spotlight Report
The "Reports" tab in Spotlight is the central hub for creating, customizing, and accessing various reports tailored to meet different financial analysis and reporting needs. Click "Add Group" or "Add Organization" first and then you can click "New Report" to add a report for that company.

How to create a Spotlight Forecast
The "Forecasts" tab in Spotlight serves as a comprehensive platform for creating, customizing and managing financial forecasts for businesses. Users can access pre-designed templates or create forecasts from scratch, allowing for projections tailored to your metrics.
Within "Go To Task Manager" you can create a 3-way forecast or a profit and loss budget.
Users can refine their forecasts over time, saving drafts for further editing and publishing finalized versions for exporting. This feature empowers users to make informed decisions by forecasting future financial performance and planning accordingly.
Spotlight Dashboards
The "Dashboard" tab in Spotlight serves as a comprehensive platform for creating and managing financial dashboards. Users can access drafts of dashboards in progress, allowing for iterative development and refinement. Once finalized, dashboards can be published for sharing with stakeholders or exporting for presentation purposes. Click on "Add Organization" to add a company. From here, you can create dashboard for that company.
With customizable templates and intuitive design tools, users can easily visualize key financial metrics, track performance trends and gain valuable insights into their business operations.
Spotlight Multi-Entity Reports
The "Multi" tab in Spotlight Reporting allows users to create multi-entity reports, enabling comparison and analysis across multiple companies or entities within a single report. This feature is particularly useful for organizations with multiple branches, subsidiaries or entities that want to consolidate financial data for reporting and analysis purposes. Make sure you have added groups and then you can click on "Add a Head Office" as a first step to creating a multi-entity report. Then click "New Report".
Users can select which entities to include in the report, customize the layout and content, and generate consolidated financial statements, performance metrics, and visualizations. The "Multi" tab streamlines the reporting process, providing a comprehensive view of the financial health and performance of the entire organization.
Spotlight Functionality
Within each tool on Spotlight namely, Reports, Forecasts, Dashboards and Multi; a set-up and customization page pops up. This page allows for you to:
Import data for the report (or dashboard/forecast/multi)
Customize data for the report (or dashboard/forecast/multi)
Customize report layouts (or dashboard/forecast/multi layouts)
Preview the report (or dashboard/forecast/multi)
Complete the report (or dashboard/forecast/multi)
When you create a report or when you add a new group or organization; this page will pop up for you to customizze a report, dashboard, forecast or multi-entity report.
